If you are a food lover, you will love Batu Pahat.
In Batu Pahat, you can find high-quality and affordable local foods such as nasi beriyani, asam pedas, kopi Rengit, and nan cheese.
It is more laidback and has less traffic compared to other big cities, so driving here is stress-free.

Careless drivers everywhere.
Careless drivers everywhere. Cafes closed too soon and shooing customers away. Too many Chinese scammers running temples in disguise of religious worship places - do avoid walking into one unless you wanna reduce some money. Dead town, not worth the time. Move on to JB instead.

Just a small town, so I see no requirement to stay longer than 2 days unless you got business or prayers (lots of temples) to do. Need to drive around to your convenience to your destination or to look for good and tasty food. One of the best food eateries - Yong's Steam Boat Garden (highly recommended), was the best dinner meal I had in Batu Pahat, superbly value for money meal considerably for the food you ordered.

It’s mostly about food at this town. It much sightseeing.
It’s mostly about food at this town. It much sightseeing. So it’s wonderful for foodies. They have an awful lot of cafes with great coffees (both local kopi and the western coffee). This is my second trip and I’d recommend: Coffee in Town (nasi lemak, Sambal sotong), Han Kee Cakes & Cake, Swee Kee Soup, Rengit Coffee (they plant, roast and serve in their own Rengit cafe!), Lim Coffee Trading Co (more specialty coffee roasts)… and check out the Glutton Street (note: closed every Monday)
So it’s a must to bring home bags if those powders! I like them all for its low acidity and great aroma. In a nutshell, too much but to eat too little time .. LOL
Unassuming. Unpretenrious . Sufficient facilities. Good for short getaway away from hustle and bustle of the big cities but still did not lose the touch of modernity. A place to relax and enjoy the time.

This is my second time staying here with my family.. seems that the owner added a lot of new things to make their customer feels more comfortable. easy check in and check out process. although it is a bit far from the town, but it wont be a problem if hv own transport. The house is spacious and clean.. it has 4 room and complete with basic necessities. it was a very comfortable place for my family to stay. Will definitely stay here again when i went to batu pahat later.
room and toilet is very clean like a 5 star hotel. im impress with the cleanliness.
ambience is good. this is the only hotel ive been to that has coffee machine inside the room.
staff there are also very accommodative - the security guard help to assist us to our car with umbrella and the door men quickly open the hotel door for us to make sure we didnt get wet from the rain.
The staff is very friendly. Parking is available and free (the hotel provided parking tickets). There are Coway water filters on every floor.
You will be given TV and aircond remote at registration. Need to pay RM50 deposit, but the staff was very kind to allow me to register without paying since I didn't carry any cash.
I really enjoyed during my one night stay at this hotel. Everything was so satisfying from the aircon, water pressure, room was spacious and most exciting its their breakfast. There are so much of varieties until you can't fit your stomach! all the foods are so delicious and they served kuih muih and cakes too
The owner was really friendly, room was clean but unfortunately, there was a dead cockroach near the toilet bowl. The towels were clean the first night but the following day the towels smelled funky. The location is alright, a bit far from city center but still acceptable. Overall 9/10 would stay there again.
We did not have breakfast at Layla Inn but everything else about the place was good. For a very good value, Layla Inn provides comfort and safety very well. It is also in between Muar and Batu Pahat which made it convenient to visit both places. The cleanliness of this place was really remarkable!
Cosy room with a spacious view. Room was clean and neat. Shower had good strong pressure too. Location about 10mins fr Batu Pahat bus station, with many convenience stores nearby.
good location, many food option within walking distance from the hotel. street parking available and the hotel take care of the fees up till check out, which is very nice.
